Artists always struggle when it comes to getting their work out. Things can be even more complicated for artists who are just starting out in artistic 
communities and do not have any solid sources of funding. That is why organizations should consider supporting artists. The benefits of such support are not limited to artists only – they extend to the entire community, including the organizations that are providing support. Some of the many benefits of supporting artists include the following:
It Identifies and Encourages Talent
There are many talented people in artistic communities, especially young people, who frequently do not know how to channel their energies. Simply put, there is a lot of untapped talent that has yet to be discovered due to a chronic lack of resources and guidance. Organizations can help nurture such talent by supporting artists through providing sponsorships, scholarships, and donations, among other means of support.
It Unites the Local Community
At a time when everyone is engrossed in their mobile devices, people have never seemed so aloof as they do today. Having an activity that brings 
people together, therefore, is a good way to promote socializing and networking among artists. Organizing shows and planning events in the community has a way of bringing people together, which helps advance the overall wellbeing of the entire community.
It Provides Employment
Supporting artists also helps with the continuing unemployment problem that is found in most communities these days. Instead of having roving bands of unemployed people in the community, it is better to engage them in a cultural activity by which they can find ways to keep themselves busy. This will also keep them from engaging in unproductive pursuits, which, left unchecked, can threaten the security of the entire community. Through the arts, young people can earn enough money to sustain themselves.
